I first saw Gotye & Kimbra's song "Somebody That I Used To Know" at the top of the Belgian charts a couple weeks ago. Out of curiousity, I watched the music video, and I was instantly amazed by the wonderful combination of the intriguing vocals and artistic visuals on display. I couldn't have picked two better artists to sing a duet. Gotye, a Belgian-Austrailian artist, and Kimbra, New Zealand's most famous female singer, are absolutely perfect at mirroring the emotional and heart-wrenching conversation between former lovers. The music video and vocals sync up at just the right moments, creating a story. As one may interpret, Gotye and Kimbra's relationship, once created a beautiful mural, but once Gotye & Kimbra fully break off their relationship, the mural erases away. Kimbra is just somebody Gotye "used to know."
