Friendly Fires has been one of my favorite bands since my trip to London in the summer of 2009. I kind of discovered Friendly Fires in a funny way. During one of the days I was in London, I noticed a huge live music festival going on. To my surprise, it was being broadcasted on British television. I remember turning the TV on after a long day of sightseeing and riding the London eye to discover the beautiful noise and performance of Friendly Fires. At the time, Friendly Fires was like nothing I had ever heard before. Somehow this chaotic mix of instruments and beats I heard from the TV sounded wonderful. Plus, the lead singer, Ed McFarlane, was putting on an energetic show, bouncing around the stage like a bona fide rockstar. Once I got home I immediately downloaded, "Skeleton Boy, "Hosptial" and "Jump In The Pool."
