European Chart Toppers

From time to time, I like to check out what kind of club music is coming out of Europe. All the good dance music was coming out of Europe when I was living in Barcelona during the summer of 2010. "Stereolove"  and "We No Speak Americano" were definitely old news once they became popular in the U.S.  So, i am dedicating this post to the new club music in Europe. Who knows, these songs might make a big hit in the US?

The first song  I came across is called "Loca People"  by Sak Noel. One of my Spanish friends can't get enough of this song, and frankly I don't know why. Although "Loca People" is filmed on Las Ramblas, an amazing street in Barcelona, it lacks everything that makes a good dance song. The beat is incredibly redundant, and it features a girl saying, "What the fuck?" I know that dance songs don't necessarily have to contain dense intellectual meaning, but this European dance song has me saying, "What the fuck?" This may be harsh, but this song is complete Eurotrash. I hope this doesn't get around to the US.

Another Euro-club song I noticed at the top of the charts is a song called Danza Kudro (ft. Lucenzo) by Don Omar. I can actually see why this song is at the top of the charts in Europe, where Raggaetone, is popular. Although the music video is as about as original as a Nelly video, this is a song that I could actually see myself dancing to in Spain. Its not the best, but it has a good raggaetone flow. I don't think this is song that will be playing in clubs across the US, but hey, its exotic and its not bad!
